The Brentwood neighborhood offers its  residents one of the most affordable areas in Central Austin. Situated just 15 minutes North of downtown, the neighborhood is close to many of the high-tech hubs of the city, such as Dell, National Instruments and Samsung.

The area boasts the features of architecturally unique 1950’s vintage housing, which is appealing in both its distinctiveness and quality. The area attracts a very eclectic variety of residents, which range from university professors, engineers, high-tech professionals, politicians, and young families.

The residents within the area are warm and welcoming, and the neighborhood offers a great blend of urban and suburban living. Residents tend to be very loyal to preserving the integrity of the 1950’s architecture and, as a whole, are very opposed to any redevelopment of land that doesn’t blend well with the overall aesthetic of the area. 

Brentwood is known for its independent, local businesses; many of which have been around since the 1950’s. Famous hamburger joints and eateries such as Threadgills (where Janis Joplin got started), Night Hawk Frisco Shop, Dan’s Hamburgers, Top Notch (famous for its appearance in the movie “Dazed and Confused”,) and Billy’s are great places to grab a good meal and relax.

The Brentwood area also offers plenty of green spaces to hike, bike, socialize and relax in.  Furthermore, its only a short, scenic drive to Lake Travis and the Hill Country.
